    First All Asia Food Expo Debuts in New York This Week

    NEW YORK - The All Asia Food Expo, which exclusively features Asian food and beverage products sold to both retail and foodservice outlets, will make its national debut at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Center on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

    NEW YORK - The All Asia Food Expo, which exclusively features Asian food and beverage products sold to both retail and foodservice outlets, will make its national debut at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Center on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

    The event will include exhibitors from China, Korea, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam, who will be showcasing hundreds of unique foods and beverages, including sauces, noodles, rice, spices, snacks, fruits, vegetables,
    prepared foods, curries, kimchi, beverages, and specialty items.

    Event highlights include an opening address by keynote speaker Phil Lempert, food marketing expert and regular Progressive Grocer columnist, at 9 a.m. on Oct. 26, as well as culinary demonstrations by distinguished chefs and educators such as Hi Soo Shin Hepinstall, renowned Korean cookbook author; Floyd Cardoz, executive chef at Tabla Restaurant in New York; and Michael Huynh, award-winning chef at Boa 111 in New York. There will also be an important session about U.S. safety and the security of food supply, led by Joe Pawlak, senior principal at Technomic, Inc.

    Numerous key buyers, including top executives from Stop & Shop, Pathmark, Kroger, Ralph's, Giant Supermarket, Sysco Foodservice, FreshDirect, ShopRite, and Trader Joe's, are registered to attend.
