LUFKIN, Texas - Brookshire Brothers, based here, said yesterday that it has entered into a licensing agreement with KSS Limited, a global provider of pricing solutions to grocery, convenience, and petroleum retailers, for KSS' PriceStrat pricing and promotions solution. Brookshire Brothers will work with KSS to implement PriceStrat across all of the chain's grocery formats and Tobacco Barn outlets.
Kevin Flanagan, v.p. of marketing for Brookshire Brothers, said: "After reviewing several other vendors in the optimization space, we selected KSS because of their knowledge and understanding of our issues as retailers, and their realistic and collaborative approach to delivering a flexible solution that is tailored to our own needs and priorities. We were particularly impressed with KSS' recognition and understanding of what it takes to empower end users to make better decisions by delivering science and technology to them in a way that allows them to leverage and supplement their own experience and intuition. We look forward to working with KSS to deliver the tangible benefits to our merchandising team."
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Brookshire Brothers and look forward to helping deliver benefits across all of the Brookshire store formats," said KSS c.e.o. Iain Cockburn. "PriceStrat's consumer demand forecasting will provide Brookshire Brothers with deeper insight into their customers' needs and shopping habits. This will help improve customer offers and enable Brookshire Brothers to make more informed and effective price and promotional decisions."
