SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - ACNielsen U.S., an operating unit of ACNielsen, a VNU business, is the new provider of syndicated sales information and consumer insights for Dallas-based Glazer's Distributors, one of the nation's largest wholesaler alcoholic beverage distributors, with operations in 13 states.
Information tools Glazer's will use include the ACNielsen Scantrack retail measurement service for analysis of beverage alcohol product sales across the grocery and drug channels, the ACNielsen LiquorTrack service for insights into liquor store channel sales, census-based trade area reports to analyze sales at specific retailers within each retailer's custom geography, ACNielsen Sales Management Planner for Internet access to key sales performance metrics, and several of the ACNielsen Homescan consumer panel tools, such as Consumer Facts and Channel Facts, adapted specifically to the beverage alcohol industry, for consumer insights.
ACNielsen has been tracking retail sales of beverage alcohol products in grocery, drug, convenience, and liquor stores since 1993. Today LiquorTrack is the most comprehensive liquor store sales information service available, and is the only source of both market-level insights and key account-specific information.
