BOISE, Idaho -- Albertsons, Inc. has elevated Duncan Mac Naughton, who most recently served as group v.p./grocery merchandising, to s.v.p. of merchandising. In his new post Mac Naughton will lead Albertsons merchandising efforts across food, general merchandise, health and beauty care, fuel, and alcohol.
"Duncan has proven himself as a valuable member of our senior leadership team. In this new role he will help drive the consistent execution of our merchandising strategies across all categories and banners as we work toward becoming best-in-class in the industry," said Larry Johnston, chairman, president, and c.e.o.
Prior to joining Albertsons, Mac Naughton spent six years in key leadership roles at H-E-B, most recently as group v.p./grocery and corporate brands. Prior to H-E-B he spent 13 years with Kraft Foods, where he was responsible for such areas as category planning, strategic grocery marketing, brand development, trade planning, and product positioning.
