TUCSON, Ariz. - Gigante USA, a subsidiary of the $3 billion Mexican supermarket chain Grupo Gigante, has implemented TCI Retail HQ, a strategic pricing solution from TCI Solutions Inc., for its eight Gigante USA stores.
Gigante USA, with headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif., has installed TCI's foundation, integration and price management solutions to centrally control and automate price generation for its southern California stores. The chain is using TCI's enterprise data repository as its foundation for managing all item, vendor and store information.
TCI HQ is interfaced to Gigante's point-of-sale (POS) and scale management systems, delivering a single point of control, centralized process and seamless connection across its entire enterprise.
"TCI's headquarters solution enables us to centralize all of our pricing data and processes, and ensures that accurate information is executed to all of our store systems," said Justo Frias, president of Gigante's U.S. operations.
The TCI solution is hosting scale maintenance and providing centralized management for Gigante's Invatron ePlum scale system. This allows the chain to better manage its large number of perishable items. Gigante is also installing TCI's Competitive Pricing, Perpetual Inventory and Price Generation modules.
