ATLANTA - After a successful yearlong test in select markets throughout the nation, Kash 4 Gas will be available in Kroger grocery stores throughout Georgia, including Atlanta, Rome, Macon, and Dalton, among other locations. Kash 4 Gas is a customer loyalty program produced by Dallas, Texas-based Centego Marketing, Inc., in which shoppers earn free gasoline for purchasing specified grocery items. Since the program launched in September 2002, nearly 3 million customers have earned more than $3.7 million in free gasoline.

"We're committed to offering our customers valuable rewards that enhance their lives where they live, work, and play," said Dave Bodner, Kroger Atlanta manager of fuel. "The Kash 4 Gas free gas program creates extensions outside of the store and delivers not only what consumers want, but what they need."

Kash 4 Gas rewards Kroger shoppers with free gasoline for purchasing products that are on the program. Shoppers receive a free gas voucher at checkout with their grocery receipt. Participating Kroger gasoline stations accept the Kash 4 Gas vouchers, which are good for approximately 30 days from the shopping date.

Every month, products rotate. Examples of products on Kroger's November Kash 4 Gas shopping list include:
-Buy two Angel Soft Double Roll Bath Tissue 12 Rolls = $1.25 free gasoline
    -Buy three Coca-Cola products - select varieties six-pack - 24 oz. = $1.50 free gasoline
-Buy two Kellogg's Cereals - select varieties = $1 free gasoline
-Buy two Mrs. Paul's Frozen Seafood Selections - select varieties = $2.25 free gasoline

"Kroger customers have spoken and proven that free gasoline can alter buying behavior," said Steve Rosenberg, Centego Marketing president and c.e.o. "As our partnership with Kroger expands nationwide, we feel satisfied that our innovative program is helping millions of consumers save on their monthly fuel bills."

The Fuel Rewards program, also known as Kash 4 Gas and Free Gas, is available throughout the country in approximately 1,400 grocery stores. Through September 2003, in all participating stores combined, nearly 19 million consumers have received free gas vouchers, which total more than $18 million worth of free gas.
