ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. - As the countdown begins for the Food & Drug Administration's new bioterrorism rules that go into effect Dec. 12, the Food Institute here has added a condensed half-day version of its "Complying With FDA's Final Bioterrorism Rules" seminar, to be held Nov. 6.
With the organization's first Newark seminar completely sold out, The Food Institute and Olsson, Frank & Weeda PC will review the finalized rules and cover what steps must be taken to comply with the law.
Final interim rules on registration of food facilities and notice prior to import of food shipments were published Oct. 10. The rules go into effect Dec. 12, at which time final record-keeping and administrative detention rules are also expected to be announced.
Among those recommended to attend are food manufacturers, importers, plant managers, quality assurance personnel, production supervisors, regulatory directors, brokers, traffic managers, and industry executives.
