ATLANTA -- Tellermate, based here, today announced that St. Louis-based Schnuck Markets Inc. has selected Tellermate's technology solution to streamline its cash management processes. Schnucks has implemented Tellermate's cash management solutions in all of its locations.
After a "best practices" review, Schnucks decided to move toward Tellermate's cash management system in order to cut operational costs. Tellermate's solution provides Schnucks with an accurate way of counting a large number of cash drawers in a very short period of time.
"We were looking for a technology that supported audits at the lane. The portability and accuracy of the Tellermate systems provided this solution," said Bill Frank, manager of industrial engineering for Schnuck Markets. "Our associates find the new technology has also streamlined office cash handling, allowing them to focus more time on customer service."
Each Tellermate unit is expected to lower cash processing costs for Schnucks through the reduction of operating costs, standardization of auditing procedures, and elimination of paperwork.
Schnucks is currently in the process of implementing Tellermate's TellerComK online interface system, which transmits data from the cash count directly to the back-office software application. TellerComK eliminates manual input as an automatic by-product of completing the cash count, which saves additional time and improves accuracy.
