SAN ANTONIO - H-E-B has agreed to acquire nine Albertson's stores in Texas that had been closed as part of Albertson's restructuring plan, according to published reports.
The terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed. The sites include five locations in San Antonio, two in Houston and one each in Laredo and Mission.
H-E-B said it would reopen the stores on a staggered basis during the next three months. It will close two H-E-B Pantry Stores in Houston after the stores there reopen as H-E-B supermarkets.
