For the second year, Carl Buddig & Co. has signed on to sponsor the Chicago Blackhawks through a multimedia marketing campaign.
Throughout the 82-game season, the WGN Radio Fan Van Tour will feature retail stops with giveaways and activities, and the brand will also sponsor Blackhawks Youth Hockey Camps, which provides advanced coaching techniques for children.
“Our Blackhawks sponsorship has been a huge success with our hometown fans and retailers, and we look forward to another winning season,” said Tom Buddig, EVP of marketing, Carl Buddig & Co. “Just like Buddig lunchmeats and Old Wisconsin meat snack products, the Chicago Blackhawks have been a local fixture, and we’re proud of our continued association with this legendary team.”
The campaign will be supported by TV spots created for last year's sponsorship, as well as in-game advertising and promotions; digital ads with WGNradio.com and the Chicago Tribune; in-store advertising and POS; out-of-home advertising; and cinema advertising with NCM Theater network.
Carl Buddig is also urging fans to take part in the brand's Twitter party on Oct. 14 from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., in which participants can learn about game-friendly recipes, tips and ideas for hosting tailgates. Fans can join by following the hashtag #BuddigPowerPlay.
