Fairway Group Holdings Corp. has named Dorothy Carlow its news chief merchandising officer, effective Nov. 3.
In her new role, Carlow will oversee the merchandising team, lead the company's buying and sales strategies, as well as develop new programs and promotions.
"Dorothy has experience in building innovative business plans to propel improved efficiency and sales," said CEO Jack Murphy. "Over her career, she has demonstrated talent for improving profitability through focused initiatives that standardize merchandising, purchasing, and ordering processes across a multi-state grocery store fleet."
Prior to Fairway, Carlow served in a similar role with North Carolina-based specialty chain Earth Fare, where she led merchandising, marketing, transportation and logistics.
