Tecate and Tecate Light have launched a three-month retail campaign in support of the upcoming boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri, slated for Nov. 22 at the Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena in China.
Anchored in the brand's "Taste of Triumph" platform, retailers in Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico will feature a series of themed POS materials including posters, price cards, standees and banners, which direct consumers to participate in the brand's "Taste of Triumph" sweepstakes.
Participants can text “TASTEOFTRIUMPH” to 55678 for a chance to win the grand-prize VIP trip for two to Macau, China, to watch the fight live. The package includes round-trip airfare, hotel for three nights, tickets to the fight and access to various fight week events.
One first-prize winner will be awarded a trip for two to Las Vegas during the fight weekend, including transportation, hotel accommodations and VIP access to the official Tecate-sponsored Pacquiao vs. Algieri Viewing Party. Ten second-prize winners will get a streaming code to the HBO pay-per-view (PPV) event and a $100 gift card.
Tecate and Tecate Light will also offer a series of savings offers, including a mail-in-rebate coupon worth up to $30 off the HBO PPV event, and $5 off in the meat department with the purchase of an 18-pack or larger of Tecate or Tecate Light.
