Mrs. Green's has introduced its first annual Shop Free for a Year Sweepstakes, under which the grocer will give one shopper $90 a week for the entire year, in the form of a gift card worth $4,680. The aim of the contest, which runs until Dec. 24, is to encourage consumers to buy organic groceries and healthy-lifestyle products at any Mrs. Green’s store.
"Mrs. Green's believes in helping our customers' access to organic food and healthy-living options," said Pat Brown, CEO of Irvington, N.Y.-based Natural Markets Food Group (NMFG), Mrs. Green's parent company. "This sweepstakes does just that -- rewarding loyal customers with the chance to save money and teaching new customers about easy ways to live a healthy, happy life."
The sweepstakes is open to residents of New York; Fairfield County, Conn.; Chicago; and Mercer County, N.J. The winner will be picked in a random drawing. To enter the contest, individuals must register online.
NMFG's U.S. presence began in the New York tristate area and now includes the Mid-Atlantic region and Chicago.
