Cardtronics Inc. has completed ATM installations at Bi-Lo, Harveys and Winn-Dixie stores, considerably expanding its relationship with the banner's parent company, Jacksonville, Fla.-based Bi-Lo Holdings LLC.
Under an ATM services relationship formed with Winn-Dixie in 2003, Houston-based Cardtronics owned and operated about 470 cash machines for the chain in 2013, at which time Bi-Lo Holdings, which had merged with Winn-Dixie a year earlier, agreed to transition additional locations and banner names to Cardtronics. With the completion of the latest ATM installation project, the vendor now owns and operates almost 800 ATMs at Bi-Lo, Harveys and Winn-Dixie stores across eight Southeastern states. Cardtronics additionally holds expansion rights for future Bi-Lo Holdings stores.
"For more than a decade, Cardtronics has delivered high-quality ATM services to Winn-Dixie stores, demonstrating a strong commitment to our success and our customers," said Bi-Lo Holdings VP, Communications Brian Wright. "Now, with Cardtronics being a preferred provider of ATM cash access services at all three of our banner names, Bi-Lo Holdings benefits from increased efficiencies, cost savings and streamlined processes."
Cardtronics is the North American market leader in ATM branding for financial institutions and prepaid card programs. Across the company's Principal and Preferred Branding programs, card issuers have cumulatively branded more than 20,000 Cardtronics-owned ATMs.
Bi-Lo Holdings, the fifth-largest conventional supermarket chain in the United States, employs nearly 70,000 associates in 830 grocery stores and 555 in-store pharmacies throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
