This week marks the final days remaining before the March 13 deadline for nominations for Progressive Grocer’s annual Top Women in Grocery industry awards program, which recognizes the integral role women play across all segments of the retail food industry.
Applications are open to women across all sectors of the grocery industry – for above-and-beyond achievements logged between April 2014-March 1, 2015 – from the retailer/wholesaler and supplier/vendor communities in three categories:
- Senior-level Executives (title of Vice President or higher)
- Rising Stars (titles lower than Vice President)
- Store Managers (titles of Store Manager or Store Director)
Rather than dwelling on the historical gender gap in the food industry, PG’s Top Women in Grocery program aims to fulfill a far greater purpose by celebrating the continuing progress the industry is making to close it while prominently recognizing the critical roles the honorees serve in their companies, communities and the industry at large.
All Top Women in Grocery winners will be prominently recognized in PG’s June issue, as well as at an afternoon education and networking event and evening gala awards celebration.
All Top Women in Grocery nominations must detail unique accomplishments and extraordinary achievements – such as innovative corporate initiatives, extraordinary financial and strategic endeavors, astute problem-solving acumen and exceptional performance benchmarks – attained during the April 2014 - March 1, 2015 timeframe.
Past Top Women in Grocery winners are eligible to enter but are required to include a minimum of three unique and significant accomplishments/achievements attained during the 12-month entry period beyond that which has been recognized in previous years.
Deadline for applications: March 13, 2015.
Progressive Grocer will notify all winners/companies by April 30, 2015.
