Consumers are feeling it in their pockets at the pump, but how are lower gas prices affecting sales at the grocery store? That's the topic of Progressive Grocer's January poll, which aims to take the temperature of how lower gasoline prices – which have dipped below $2 per gallon in certain parts of the country in recent weeks to the equivalent of 45 percent from year-ago levels – are benefitting sales in the nation's supermarkets.

While the lower pump prices won’t last forever, economists estimate that the nation's consumers are saving $200 million a day vs. last year, with positive ripple effects being felt across all parts of the supply chain.

Please weigh in with how the significant drop in U.S. gas prices is impacting your store's bottom lines by answering PG's latest poll.
