The Category Management Association (CMA) will host a new webinar, "Discover the State-of-the-Art in Assortment Customization: A Walmart/P&G Case Study," slated for Feb. 12 at 10:30 a.m. CST.
Tom McDonald, Procter & Gamble’s team leader for Walmart and Sam’s Club, will describe how P&G is using data, analytics and software to meet Walmart’s "neighborhood-level" assortment customization requirements.
Following the presentation, Gordon Wade, CMA’s SVP of category management best practices, along with JDA’s Danny Halim, will moderate a discussion about P&G’s experiences and will take questions from the webinar audience.
Since the early 1990’s, the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry has made tremendous progress leveraging new data, analytics and software for assortment optimization; many of these achievements are outlined in Wade’s 2014 white paper, "The Theory and Practice of Assortment Optimization."
