Supervalu has set the dates for its second annual national sales show due to the success of the inaugural event last year. The 2015 National Expo will be held Aug. 11-13 at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minn., and is open to the wholesaler’s more than 2,000 retail customers as well as vendors and industry professionals.
“Our first national sales expo was a great success, helping us to increase sales and make stronger connections with our retail customers and our vendors,” said Janel Haugarth, Supervalu’s EVP for independent business and supply chain services. “We’ve gathered insights and feedback from last year’s event, and are excited to build on that for an even bigger and better show for 2015.”
Last year’s event featured 330 exhibitors and 25 education seminars with 1,500 retail attendees. This year, fresh departments and products will receive greater emphasis, and the Education Day will be returning, offering consumer insights, training seminars and other resources for operators. The event will also play host to the Master Marketer Awards ceremony, which rewards the best marketing campaigns across Supervalu’s independent business network.
