In recognition and celebration of the power of collaboration between retailers and their supplier partners, Retail Leader and the Category Management Association are excited to announce the first annual Best Practice Awards for 2015. The awards will honor best-in-class collaborative initiatives including Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing, Customer Assortment Solutions, Collaborative Category Planning and Omnichannel Experience.
“Retail Leader worked with the Category Management Association to develop this platform to shine a light on these key retailers, suppliers and service providers that work together to enhance our industry and help drive better efficiencies to be more competitive,” says Jeffrey Friedman, VP/Brand Director, Stagnito Business Information. “I am thrilled that CMA and Retail Leader have partnered to recognize these collaborative efforts that continually push the bar higher for the industry, and ultimately create a better shopping experience for consumers.”
Blaine Ross, president, Category Management Association, stated, “We are proud to recognize these industry leaders for individual and team accomplishments at our 2015 Category Management Conference. These manufacturers, retailers and solution providers exemplify the spirit and goals of the association as we work to share information and best practices within the category management community.”
Nominations are now being accepted in five categories:

- 3. Custom Assortment Solutions
- 4. Collaborative Category Planning
- 5. Omnichannel Experience

Winners will be featured in Retail Leader (print and online) and acknowledged at the Annual Category Management Dinner Gala on Sept. 29.
Entries must be submitted by Aug.15, 2015. There is no fee to enter. Multiple entries per company are accepted. Companies do not have to be CMA members to enter.
