The seventh Hornbacher’s location opened in South Moorhead, Minn., in the Azool shopping center. The new store features the first pharmacy for the Moorhead-based chain as well as an in-store bank and coffee shop.
Hornbacher’s President Matt Leiseth and Moorhead’s Mayor Del Rae Williams commemorated the grand opening, which marks the beginning of week-long festivities, including food sampling, ticket giveaways, live radio broadcasts and gift card give-aways. All locations are running special ads to commemorate the new store.
The Azool location is the first new store for the chain since 2006; Hornbacher’s first opened in 1951.
“As a longtime resident of the Fargo-Moorhead community, it is an honor to be able to open this new store for our friends and neighbors,” Leiseth said. “Hornbacher’s is dedicated to the families of these cities and is committed to delivering the highest-quality products and service to our deserving customers.”
