Woodman’s has launched an online store, shopwoodmans.com, which offers more than 60,000 products that are available for pickup or delivery in the Madison, Wis., area.
The site’s tools include shopping lists, the ability to reorder past orders, click-to-order recipes and live order tracking. The Janesville, Wis.-based retailer operates the online store through backend management tools, an Android app and full POS integration, which allows the staff to view reports, change store settings in real time, fulfill orders through optimized aisle navigation, automatically alert customers about out-of-stocks and provide real-time order status updates to customers.
Woodman’s partnered with GrocerKey, a Madison-based tech company that provides online services to independent grocers. GrocerKey offers custom strategy, operations manuals, white-label online ordering technology solutions and back-end technology to facilitate order picking and order status updates.
Woodman’s plans to offer online ordering in all 16 of its locations by the end of 2016.
