Instacart has added Burbank to its fast-expanding Los Angeles delivery area.
Beginning today, Burbank residents can order from Whole Foods Market, Smart & Final, Costco, Ralphs, Gelson’s, Fresh & Easy, Super King, and Petco stores, and have their items delivered in as little as one hour.
“Our legendary traffic and parking challenges can make shopping a nightmare," said Instacart LA General Manager Sean Twersky. "With Instacart, customers can order from the convenience of their home or office and have everything delivered right to their door. We’ve had great feedback from customers and retail partners and will continue to expand both the areas we serve, as well the retail options we offer.”
New customers can open an account at www.Instacart.com, and get free delivery on their first order of $10 or more. Two-hour delivery – the company's most popular service option -- costs $3.99. One-hour delivery is available for $5.99.
Customers can also sign up for Instacart Express for $99 per year – an annual membership that eliminates delivery fees for all orders of $35 or more.
Founded in San Francisco in 2012, Instacart has since expanded to 18 metropolitan areas nationwide.
