More than 700 industry executives committed to increasing success through cultivating people and working with purpose will attend Western Michigan University’s 51st Food Marketing Conference (WMU’s FMC), April 11-12, 2016 at the DeVos Place, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Hank Meijer, co-chairman and CEO of Meijer Inc.; Millennial and Gen X expert Jason Dorsey; Lisa Walsh, SVP at Frito-Lay; and author and retail expert Neil Stern of McMillanDoolittle LLP, are just a few of the notable presenters who will be addressing the 2016 theme of “People, Purpose and Passion: The Pathway to Success.”
“The Food Marketing Conference is designed to address key issues facing the grocery and CPG industries as they work together to meet consumer needs,” says Frank Gambino, director, Food & CPG Marketing at Western Michigan University. “Equally important is that this event benefits the future of our industry. The event supports scholarships and unique educational experiences for students enrolled in WMU’s Food Marketing program.” The conference was forced to a larger venue in Grand Rapids for 2016 because of increasing attendance.
Other leading retail and CPG executives slated to present include Rich Wolowski, president and COO of Gordon Food Service; Wendy Davidson, president, U.S. Specialty Channels, Kellogg North America; and Progressive Grocer and Retail Leader Editorial Director Joan Driggs. Musician and motivational speaker David Carroll will entertain the conference at a special evening performance on April 11.
A key feature of FMC, the Executive Forum, will be moderated by former H-E-B executive Paul Madura, and includes Tom Burkemper of 7-Eleven, Kathy Casey of Kellogg Co., and Chris Albi of Kroger, who will address leadership strategies and tips for building strong company cultures.
