    Lunds & Byerlys Taps Unata for eCommerce Platform

    First 6 stores live; remainder to follow by month's end

    Edina, Minn.-based Lunds & Byerlys has signed on with omnichannel solutions provider Unata to launch a new online grocery shopping and delivery service program for its 27 locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. The first six stores – including Ridgedale, Chanhassen, Maple Grove, France Ave. Edina, Burnsville and Lunds & Byerlys Kitchen – are now live, with rollouts to follow later this month in its remaining stores.

    Lunds & Byerlys' new eCommerce program boasts 1-to-1 personalization across the entire shopping experience, from homepage to catalogue to search to product recommendations. Each step of the shopping journey will display the most relevant items for each shopper based on their individual purchase history and ongoing transactions.

    Key features of the regional grocer's new digital options include:

    • Ways to Shop: Customers can organize and browse the entire product catalogue by any combination of filters, including previously purchased, on sale, organic, gluten-free, local and more. Customers can also sort through products based on popularity, personal relevance, date of last purchase, pricing and more.
    • Order Management, Content Targeting and Customer Service Tools: Customers can access an easy-to-use management and analytics dashboard, while Lunds & Byerlys staff can use up-to-the-minute analytics to target and manage promoted content to customers, as well as manage online orders in real time.

    Lunds & Byerly's new online service allows customers to shop for and receive their groceries at their Twin Cities-area home or business, or via a drive-thru pickup from designated store locations or self-service secure locker pickup from Lunds & Byerlys Kitchen. Cost is $9.95 per delivery, and there is no minimum order amount. Same-day service is also available, depending on delivery zip code or store pickup location.

    Shoppers can select from more than 30,000 products, including hundreds of weekly sale items at the same prices found in-store.

    In addition to Lunds & Byerlys, Unata also works with leading regional grocers throughout Canada and the U.S., including Longo’s, Grocery Gateway, Lowes Foods and Raley’s.
