    Food Lion Launches ‘Quarter Back’ PL Promo

    Shoppers can earn coupon toward next shopping trip

    Food Lion shoppers can save a quarter on every private-brand item they buy, up to $10, during the grocer’s second annual Quarter Back promotion, which this year runs through Oct. 11. A purchase of at least four private-brand products with an MVP card earns shoppers a coupon they can use on their next shopping trip.

    Customers can shop for more than 7,000 private-brand items sold at Food Lion stores. All items also have a double-your-money-back guarantee.

    Last year, Food Lion redesigned its Food Lion brand packaging, which included adding Guiding Stars nutritional information to the front panel. The grocer also expanded its private-brand offerings to fresh produce such as carrots, apples, potatoes, mushrooms and onions. In addition to the Food Lion brand, the chain’s other private brands are Nature’s Place natural and organic products, Taste of Inspirations premium products, Home 360 nonfood products such as household items, Healthy Accents HBC products and Cha-Ching value products. All are eligible for the Quarter Back promotion.

    During the promotion period, shoppers can repeat the deal as many times as they’d like. A minimum of four private brand items must be purchased for the promotion to apply, not to surpass 40 items, or $10, in one shopping trip using a personal MVP card. Random-weight items aren’t eligible. Coupons received may be used on the customer’s next shopping trip, but not on the same day. All coupons are valid two weeks from issue date.
