Albertsons Cos. has selected Salt City Lake-based ReposiTrak to manage regulatory and business documentation compliance within its supply chain. Recognized as the second-largest supermarket chain in the United States, Albertsons operates across 35 states and the District of Columbia under 19 banners, including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Star Market, Acme Markets, Tom Thumb, Randalls, United Supermarkets, Pavilions  and Carrs.

“At Albertsons, the health and safety of our customers is of the highest priority,” said Jim Seiple, the grocer's CFS, group VP, product development, own brands.  “We were looking for a solution that would enable us to scale and automate the management of our required vendor documents, and provide us with 24/7 visibility to compliance.”

“We are very proud that Albertsons Cos. has chosen ReposiTrak to reduce brand, regulatory and financial risk in their supply chain,” said Randall K. Fields, chairman and CEO of Park City Group and ReposiTrak.“Their commitment to food safety and transparency for their customers makes us proud to have them utilize our solution.”

ReposiTrak, a wholly owned subsidiary of Park City Group, helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of safety in the global food, pharmacy and dietary supply chains. Powered by proprietary technology, the platform consists of two systems: Compliance Management, which not only receives, stores and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents, and Track & Trace, which quickly identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path in the event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.

Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons Cos., which operates more than 2,300 stores, 30 distribution facilities and 21 manufacturing plants, will begin sending its ReposiTrak enrollment invitations to vendors shortly, which will enable them to share required documents with the retailer with a single click.
