Tops Markets LLC has promoted Edward Rick to the position of director, consumer marketing and digital. In his new role, Rick will oversee the development, implementation and execution of consumer marketing and digital/interactive marketing programs, including Tops' customer loyalty programs and targeted marketing initiatives, as well as all of the grocer’s sponsorships and sports marketing efforts.
Since joining Tops in 2008, Rick has worked in marketing, merchandising and most recently as the manager of consumer insights and analytics in the company’s decision support department. A graduate of the University of Buffalo, where he received a bachelor of science in business administration/management in 2008 and a master’ degree in business administration in 2012, he lives with his family in Tonawanda, N.Y.
Williamsville, N.Y.-based Tops operates 172 supermarkets, with five additional by franchisees under the Tops banner. The grocer employs more than 15,000 associates in New York, northern Pennsylvania, western Vermont and north central Massachusetts.
