    Pathmark to Bow Upgraded Jersey City Store

    Renovated location now features more diverse product mix

    Following recent renovation, the Pathmark store at 321 Stadium Plaza in Jersey City, N.J., now boasts a brighter appearance and a wider assortment of products to meet the particular needs of local shoppers. The banner of Montvale, N.J.-based Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. will mark the store’s grand reopening with festivities starting Friday, Sept. 28.

    Among the upgrades, the store now offers a bigger range variety of specialty products, including more than 100 new gluten-free items. The location has also added 1,000-plus grocery and dairy items for the Asian, Indian, South American, Central American and Italian shoppers in the ethnically diverse community.

    Further, the overhauled store offers convenient access to grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, entrees, sides and desserts, along with a range of new bakery items such as tres leche cake, pull-apart dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, Two Forks premium cupcakes, Cuban breads, flan and decorated occasion cakes.

    Activities slated for the weekend of Sept. 28 include free samples, coupons, recipes, giveaways, raffles and supermarket trivia games. Customers can also attend a smoothie demonstration by A&P’s registered dietitian, Jacqueline Gomes.

    A&P operates more than 300 stores in six states under the A&P, Best Cellars, Food Basics, The Food Emporium, Pathmark, Superfresh and Waldbaum’s banners.
