PG Seeking 2011 Store Design Contest Entries

Progressive Grocer is presently seeking entries for its annual Store Design Contest, which recognizes supermarket design concepts that set the standard in innovation and excellence. Winners, runners up and honorable mentions are recognized in five categories, providing operators of all sizes an opportunity to cast their hat into our design contest ring.

The five categories include two for new ground-up construction, and three for store remodeling projects ranging from modest to unlimited, in the following classes:

* Best Overall Store Design (new ground-up construction, under 50,000-square-feet)
* Best Overall Store Design (new ground-up construction, over 50,000-square-feet)
* Best Low-cost Remodel (less than $2 million)
* Best Mid-budget Remodel ($2 million to $5 million)
* “Sky’s the Limit” Remodel (over $5 million)

Construction of eligible store designs and remodels must have been completed between January 2010 and December 2010.

Entry rules:

1. Deadline for entries is May 6, 2011. All others may be disqualified.

2. Clearly indicate the store design award category you are entering as follows:

* Best Low-cost Remodel (less than $2 million)
* Best Mid-budget Remodel ($2 million to $5 million)

Please enclose a MAC formatted disk with an Illustrator EPS or high-resolution JPEG/TIFF of your store(s) images, as well as your company logo (retailer and designer). The description and photos will be used to judge entries, and will also be used for the editorial and photographic coverage of all winning entries.
