Pharm Firm Taking Over Marsh's Former HQ

Pharmaceutical giant Roche Diagnostics will sublease the former 148,000-square-feet Marsh Supermarkets' headquarters near 1-69 in Fishers, Ind., which had served as the the grocery chain's nerve center since 1991.

Marsh, which was acquired in September 2006 by Florida-based private equity firm, Sun Capital Partners Inc. for $88 million in cash, will now have to find a new headquarters location.

Some Marsh staff members will remain in the building until Jan. 1, 2009, when the company plans to fully vacate, a Marsh spokeswoman was quoted as saying in press reports. Marsh has already relocated some of its employees to new offices at the company's facility in Indianapolis, and has moved about 20 employees to its former headquarters in Yorktown.
