More than 40 attendees took part in Progressive Grocer’s Retail Dietitian Symposium, held Sept. 25 in Baltimore, in conjunction with Natural Products Expo East. Moderated by Bashas’ dietitian and PG columnist Barbara Ruhs, symposium participants learned the latest in health-and-wellness trends to help them develop targeted marketing programs for their retailers, and earned Continuing Professional Education credit. The agenda included speakers from The Nielsen Co., Coca-Cola, Enjoy Life Foods, Del Monte and the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), as well as PG proprietary research about the current state of retail dietitians among grocers.
