    Pirate’s Booty Hoists Anchor With 'Pirates of the Caribbean'

    Partnership includes limited-edition packaging, sweepstakes

    All-natural snack brand Pirate’s Booty has set sail with Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” which premieres in theaters May 20. The fourth installment in the wildly popular film franchise stars Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz, and was directed by Rob Marshall.

    As the exclusive food collaborator for the movie, Pirate’s Booty parent company, Sea Cliff, N.Y.-based Pirate Brands, is rolling out a special limited-edition 7-ounce package of its best-selling product and the No. 1-selling natural snack SKU in the United States, Aged White Cheddar, with a portion of the proceeds going to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The brand is also launching a Caribbean Fly Away Sweepstakes.

    Pirate Brands will donate five cents for each limited-edition package sold between April 1 and July 31, up to $100,000, to Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The sweepstakes offers a “Fountain of Youth”-themed Caribbean family vacation for four to Casa De Campo in the Dominican Republic.
