Technology vendor Predictix last week launched a consumer-centric merchandising solution suite delivered in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription model that requires no upfront license payments, software installations, hardware purchases or long-term commitments.
“Predictix is a real game changer for the retail software industry, giving merchandisers the advanced tools they need, combined with the unique flexibility, speed to value, and no-risk proposition of its SaaS model,” said John Buchanan, chairman of the board of Atlanta-based Predictix and former CEO and chairman of Retek (now Oracle Retail). “This technology and business model would be disruptive in any market -- in the toughest market in memory, however, Predictix is turning the retail software industry on its ear.”
Predictix designed its products to help retailers and brands make better business decisions, from choosing the right merchandise assortment for each store to strategically pricing, promoting, and replenishing products.
The Predictix Consumer-centric Merchandising suite includes the following:
Planning + Allocation: Interactive Web-based modules that include features that merchandisers need on a daily basis, such as dynamic hierarchies, dimensions and clustering, and built-in flexible reporting and analysis. It also includes modules for strategic planning, merchandise financial planning, item planning, space management and assortment optimization.
Pricing + Promotions: Enables consumer-focused regular price, promotions, and markdown planning, guidance and optimization, and market basket analysis.
Forecasting + Replenishment: Real-time scenario comparisons, actionable recommendations and results, and intuitive workflow-based interfaces.
