Price Chopper Appoints V.P. of Internal Audit

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Golub Corp./Price Chopper Supermarkets said yesterday it promoted Jon Finlan to the newly created position of v.p. of internal audit, reporting directly to president and c.e.o. Neil M. Golub.

Finlan had been director of internal audit In his new role he will continue to manage the financial, operational, and information technology auditing functions for the Northeast regional chain.

Finlan has worked for Price Chopper since 1980, and early on held grocery positions in the East Greenbush, N.Y. store. He later worked in the loss prevention department as a field audit specialist.

He is a past chairman of the board of the Price Chopper Employees Federal Credit Union, and a current member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

The family-owned Golub Corporation owns and operates 116 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Golub employs over 23,000 associates, who collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
