Golub Corp./Price Chopper Supermarkets said it has promoted Christine Maltbie to the newly created position of v.p., assistant treasurer, responsible for check processing, check collection, and network settlement, as well as negotiating contracts with in-store services such as the lottery, utility payments, and Western Union.
Maltbie reports directly to s.v.p. of finance, c.f.o., treasurer John Endres. A Price Chopper employee since 1998, Maltbie previously was a senior accountant at KPMG.
The family-owned Golub Corp., based in Schenectady, N.Y., owns and operates 116 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Golub employs over 23,000 associates who collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
