July 16, 2008

Buehler's Food Markets reportedly will no longer allow fliers and bag stuffers to be placed inside customers' grocery bags.

In a local press report, the chain was quote as saying, "The bottom line: Lots of wasted paper with very little impact. Buehler's Fresh Foods is committed to operating our business with environmentally responsible behavior, while increasing awareness of the impact to our ecosystem."

The independently owned grocer said community organizations could contact the store manager for alternative means of promotion.
