Bigg's Pharmacy has unveiled a new rewards program -- Prescription Plus -- which offers special discounts on future grocery purchases to new and frequent pharmacy customers.

Under the new program, customers will receive a 10 percent grocery discount coupon when they have a new or transferred prescription filled at the pharmacy, according to local press reports. Customers can in turn earn additional 10 percent grocery discount coupons for every four prescriptions filled by Bigg's when using a special Bigg's Pharmacy rewards card. New, transferred and refilled medication orders as well as immunizations - including flu shots - count toward earning the valuable discount which can be redeemed at the grocery checkout.
