iPaystation and PrepaidWireless.com Team up

iPayStation and PrepaidWireless.com have joined forces to fully integrate Gardner, Mass.-based iPayStation’s domestic and international Mobile Top-Up services for PrepaidWireless.com direct to consumer online Web portal.

PrepaidWireless.com is an online aggregator of prepaid wireless airtime services both in the United States and a growing number of international markets, providing online consumers with an alternative option to purchase their airtime refills online 24/7.

“We continue to execute on our strategy to grow the number of international markets where we can provide our customers with a quick and easy process to add funds to their prepaid mobile account, but more importantly providing a simple solution enabling our customers to purchase airtime for friends and family members mobile accounts back home,” said Mark Flanagan, president of Newport Beach, Calif. PrepaidWireless, noting that the partnership allows his company “to continue to grow our international footprint of markets we can serve [by] providing airtime replenishment services direct from our online Web portal.”

The partnership between the two companies will make it faster, easier and more secure for consumers worldwide to replenish wireless accounts for family, friends or themselves instantly online, according to both companies.

Against a trying backdrop of persistently weak economic conditions, fierce competition and financially wary shoppers, supermarket produce departments faced much harsher headwinds during the past 12- month period than they have in recent years, as evidenced by marginal comparable-sales gains and a tentative outlook for the balance of the year, according to results of Progressive Grocer's 2009 Annual Produce Operations Review.

Total supermarket sales were $430.3 billion, up $13.2 billion from the $417.2 billion recorded in 2007 -- continuing the trend of slightly higher percentage increases in each of the past five years, according to Progressive Grocer's 62nd Annual Consumer Expenditures Study (CES), now greatly expanded from the eight-page print edition to 35 pages of research.
