bigg’s Celebrates 25th Anniversary With Customer Giveaways

To help commemorate its 25th birthday, Supervalu’s Ohio-based bigg’s subsidiary is giving away free products at its 11 Cincinnati-area stores this week, including a free bag of Fresh Express Salads, up to $4, to the first 125 customers of the day at each location, and a free 20-ounce loaf of bigg’s white bread.

The grocer was scheduled to offer up to four pounds of Dole Bananas to the first 125 customers at all local stores today, according to local press reports, while a wine-tasting event was also planned this evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at bigg’s stores in Hyde Park, Mason, Delhi Township and the Skytop store in Anderson Township.

The chain will also host a “Taste of bigg’s” special event at all stores from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, which will feature samples and displays in every department featuring bigg’s house brands and other products, including Wild Harvest salads and dressings, Java Delight coffee, Stone Ridge Creamery ice cream and Super Chill soft drinks. A gluten-free fair is also planned for Saturday, Oct. 24, at bigg’s Mason, Ohio, store.
