Market Street Shoppers Earn a Free Turkey with $100 Purchase

Nov 1, 2009

United Supermarkets’ Market Street banner has launched a new holiday promotion that offers shoppers a free Traditions brand turkey with a $100 purchase now through Nov. 25.

“As wonderful as the holiday season is, it can sometimes be a little stressful, trying to make everything special while being careful about how much you spend,” said Dan Sanders, CEO of Lubbock, Texas-based United Supermarkets. “So at Market Street, we thought we’d try to help. The free turkey is just one small way we can say ‘thank you’ to our guests and let them know how appreciative we are that they chose Market Street.”

When an in-store purchase exceeds $100, Market Street team members print a “Free Turkey” coupon at the register. Shoppers may redeem the coupon at the time of purchase or during a subsequent visit to Market Street. While there’s no limit to the number of turkeys guests may receive, all coupons must be redeemed by Nov. 29.

Market Street also encourages customers who accumulate multiple turkeys to pass along the holiday spirit and donate their extras to friends, neighbors or local food banks.

United Supermarkets operates 50 stores under three distinct formats: United Supermarkets, Market Street, and Amigos United.
