No Frills' Sale to Management a Done Deal

July 3, 2008

No Frills Supermarkets yesterday finalized the sale of the company to its current seven-member management team, ensuring that the 16-store chain remains locally-owned.

"We'll keep the focus on our commitment to low prices," said president and c.e.o. Fred Witecy. "That's central to this organization and it's something our cust9omers can count on."

Rich Juro, No Frills' former c.e.o., remains with the company as a consultant. He has been with the company since 1980, when he opened the first store with his father Harold Cooperman, who is now deceased.

In addition to Witecy, the No Frills executive management team includes Steve Moskovits, c.f.o., Lonnie Eggers, v.p. of marketing; Kevin Hennessy, v.p. of perishables; Joe Bosco, dir. of human resources; Bill Brewer, IT director; and Calvin McWilliams, dir. of operations.
