Shoppers throughout Northern New Jersey can now take advantage of A&P's online shopping service. The service, which features a same-day delivery option, is expanding to customers in Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, Essex, and Union counties this month.

A&P has a "personal shopper" to choose groceries directly from an A&P store, hand-picking every item on a list and carefully packing it for delivery. Available items include fresh-baked breads, fresh fruits and vegetables, and high-quality meats and poultry.

Additionally, so that perishable products don't spoil in hot weather, the Montvale, N.J.-based chain features a proprietary "Chill Chain" to make sure that all cold items are kept at the proper temperature throughout the entire delivery process.

Shoppers can go to www.apfreshonline.com, and click the online shopping icon to start shopping online. Orders placed in the morning can be delivered the same day to either a home or a workplace.
