Sprouts to Open Ft. Collins, Colo., Store This Week

June 2, 2009

Sprouts Farmers Market will open its third Colorado store this week with the June 5 debut of its Fort Collins location. The natural and organic foods store, located at the Front Range Village shopping center, will join existing Colorado markets in Westminster and Parker, and will be joined by two new locations scheduled for Boulder and Aurora later this year.

“As we review the Ft. Collins area, we recognize the need to provide access to healthy and natural foods at a great price, said Doug Sanders, COO of Phoenix-based Sprouts.

Scheduled grand opening events at the 24,000-square-foot market include a free breakfast buffet, goodie bags for the store’s first 200 shoppers, a Sprouts reuseable shopping bag giveaway to the first 1,000, and the carving of a 300-pound wheel of chipotle cheddar in a “Colorado” theme.

Sprouts operates 33 stores in Arizona, California, Texas, and Colorado.
