Idaho Potatoes Whip Up ‘Holiday Fixings’ Multi-Partner Promo

Nov 20, 2009

Featuring some of the essentials for holiday entertaining, the Idaho spud promotion, which runs through the end of the year, features a bottleneck coupon offering $1 off Idaho potatoes on Frontera Wine, as well as Kitchen Basics Cooking Stock, Bruce’s Yams and Reynold’s Wrap. The coupons, which prominently feature a photo of a five-pound bag of Idaho potatoes and the “Grown in Idaho” seal, will be available in retail outlets nationwide that sell the Chilean wine.

“During the holiday season, everyone is looking for Idaho potatoes, and this promotion offers consumers a great way to save money on a product that’s already high on their shopping list,” said Seth Pemsler, VP Retail/International for Eagle-based Idaho Potato Commission, the originator of the promotion. “As consumers consider many potato options for their holiday feasts, we want Idaho to be their No. 1 pick. This and other seasonal multi-partner promotions are key in keeping Idaho top of mind, and ultimately top choice, as consumers make their way through the store.”
