Leveraging the power of New Year’s resolutions to shape up in time for swimsuit weather, Progresso Soup is once more rolling out the “Souper You Debut” contest to spotlight the brand’s 40 soups containing 100 calories or fewer.
Through March 16, consumers can enter the contest by visiting Progresso on Facebook and submitting a photograph accompanied a short essay detailing what they love about Progresso Soups and why they should win a makeover. Three grand-prize winners will get to travel to New York City for a complete fashion makeover by the team at Louis Licari and other style mavens.
“Progresso is … a great-tasting way to maintain a healthy body weight with our delicious lineup of Progresso Soups that contain 100 calories or less,” said Garland Hill, associate marketing manager of Progresso, a brand of Minneapolis-based General Mills.
In late March, Progresso will reveal its 10 finalists on the Facebook page. The public will then be able to vote for their favorite contestants between March 30 and April 13. The three who garner the most votes will win the grand prize, which also includes a guided wardrobe shopping spree with a personal shopping consultant and $1,000 spending money.
The Facebook page additionally offers a coupon for $1 off any four varieties of Progresso Soup, and will feature quotes from contest entries after the 10 finalists have been chosen.
