    NEW YORK -- Quick & Simple magazine has named the winners of its 2nd annual New Product Awards, which will appear in the Jan. 29, 2008 issue of the weekly consumer magazine published by Hearst Corp.

    NEW YORK -- Quick & Simple magazine has named the winners of its 2nd annual New Product Awards, which will appear in the Jan. 29, 2008 issue of the weekly consumer magazine published by Hearst Corp.

    The products honored had to be innovative, clever, and groundbreaking; save women time and money; be easy to use; and be affordable for consumers.

    The winners of the 2008 Quick & Simple New Product Awards include:
    --Deirde Imus' Greening the Cleaning line of cleaning products, among them GTC Citrus Sage Laundry Detergent ($7)
    --Scotch-Brite Cook Top Cleaner ($7) premoistened cleaning pads
    --Arm & Hammer Odor Alert Clumping Cat Litter (from $6.79 for 12 lbs.), which features crystals that change color when scooping is needed
    --Ziploc Zip 'n Steam Microwave Steam Cooking Bags ($2.79 for 10), which steam meat, fish, and vegetables in the microwave in minutes
    --Reynolds Handi-Vac Vacuum Sealer & Freezer Bags ($10), which employ an easy-to-use handheld sealer to remove air from bags to prevent freezer burn
    --Fiber and nutrient-rich Barilla Whole Grain Pasta ($1.19 for 13.25 oz.)
    --Clairol Nice 'n Easy with Color-blend Technology ($8), an at-home hair-dye kit

    "We reviewed and tested hundreds of products and selected the winners based on innovation and the ability to make our readers' lives easier and simpler," said editor-in-chief Susan Toepfer in a statement. "This year's award winners provide creative solutions for common problems women face."
