Raley's to Install Price Optimization Software to Enhance Demand Management

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Regional independent Raley's Supermarkets plans to install price optimization software for its regular and promotional pricing.

KSS Retail, a global leader in retail price optimization and demand modeling solutions, announced today that, based in West Sacramento, Calif., has selected KSS Retail as its price optimization solution for

Raley’s, a privately held, family owned supermarket chain, operates more than 130 stores across Northern California and Nevada.

Raley’s will use Florham Park, N.J.-based KSS Retail’s advanced pricing solution that leverages historical point of sale data to model and forecast consumer reaction to pricing and promotional decisions.

Raley's operates 130 stores in Northern California and Nevada under its flagship banner of Raley's Superstores, as well as Bel Air Markets, Nob Hill Foods, and Food Source. Founded during the Depression by Thomas Porter Raley, the company is now owned by his daughter, Joyce Raley Teel.
