Talequah, Okla.-based independent grocer Reasor's teamed up with Great Plains Coca-Cola to award $5,000 to the Folds of Honor Foundation. The check was presented on Feb. 14 at the organization's headquarters in Owasso, Okla.

"At Reasor's we want to be involved in opportunities like this when it benefits others in our community,” said Ward Dunn, SVP of sales and marketing at Reasor's. “We are thrilled to be able to support the families of the brave men and women who defend the freedom we daily enjoy.”

Folds of Honor is a charitable organization with a mission to empower military families by providing educational scholarships and other assistance for the children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving. Major Dan Rooney, a former F-16 pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, PGA Professional and USGA Member, founded Folds of Honor in 2007, and more than 5,000 educational scholarships have been awarded since.

"Great Plains Coca-Cola is proud to partner with Reasor's for this opportunity to support the Folds of Honor Foundation" said Keith Green, key accounts group director for Great Plains Coca-Cola.

Reasor’s operates 19 locations and two convenience stores throughout northeastern Oklahoma. In 2007, Reasor’s became employee-owned and now provides jobs for nearly 3,000 community members.
