AG New England Names Foodservice Category Manager

PEMBROKE, N.H. -- Associated Grocers of New England here has appointed Kendra Copp foodservice category manager, a new position created as Associated expands its Convenience Store Program.

"Shoppers are relying more and more on their local convenience stores for quality foodservice, both day and night," noted Stephen Felton, head of Convenience Store Programs. "Kendra will help us develop a menu of options to meet the specific needs of each store. This will result in maximum flexibility and profit for the stores, as we can tailor the best programs on a store-by-store basis."

Before joining AG New England, Copp logged 13 years of convenience store experience with the Christy's Market and 7-Eleven chains. As well as having worked in the areas of single- and multistore management, merchandising and foodservice training, she is certified to teach foodservice certification classes in New England.

AG New England, owned entirely by independent retail grocers as members of a cooperative, is the largest retailer-owned, wholesale grocery distribution center in New England. The company serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and the upstate New York/Albany area.
