Bi-Lo/Bruno's Names V.P. of Business Transformation

MAULDIN, S.C. – Bi-Lo/Bruno's here has tapped Terry Poyner, a former Randall's executive, to serve as v.p. of business transformation.

Poyner joined Bi-Lo in 2004 in a consulting capacity. In his new role he will be leading project teams focused on decoupling from Ahold, former owner of Bi-Lo/Bruno's, as well as the integration of corporate office support functions.

Prior to joining Bi-Lo, Poyner had 35 years of experience in operations, merchandising, marketing, business development, and information technology. Most recently he worked for Randall's Food Markets in Houston, where he served in various positions.

"Terry's extensive experience in the grocery industry is just what we need for this position," said Tye Anthony, Bi-Lo/Bruno's e.v.p. of marketing and merchandising, in a statement.

Bi-Lo and Bruno's operate 455 supermarkets in the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, and employ 34,500 associates.
